Check out April construction of Via Sol!

The top fifth and fourth floors inside of Via Sol are starting to look like homes almost ready to welcome residents this summer as our exterior siding crews battled April winds and rain to tightly wrap up the building outside! It has been another fast moving and exciting month for the construction of Via Sol.

Check out the floor plans here.

Happy learning and happy living!

Via Sol April Construction

The Greiner team is keeping everyone moving quickly inside and out of Via Sol. Apartments on the fifth and fourth floors are looking good with flooring, solid wood cabinetry, granite countertops and windowsills, apartment entry doors with electronic fob locks and Viroc accents, lighting, window blinds, closets, showers, stainless steel stove back panels, ovens, and refrigerators, plus, washers and dryers in market-rate apartments.

Floors 3, 2, and 1 have their cabinetry, flooring, and much of their granite countertops and windowsills in place. Going into May, they will begin their transformation into homes designed by MSR with Energy Star appliances, doors, and window blinds being installed.

Horwitz continues installing ductwork in each apartment, bringing super efficient, quiet, and comfortable four-pipe heating and cooling with DOAS (dedicated outdoor air system) for fresh, filtered air in every home.

On the first floor, cabinetry is going into the common areas, mailboxes are in place, and the Via Sol party room sliding doors are hung.

On the outside of Via Sol, the project team has finished installing thin brick as well as the stucco for artists to display their work, including the large mural announced in our previous update. Balconies are also starting to go in for individual apartments and for shared terraces.

Storefront glazing was installed for Via Sol’s commercial space, which will host year-round indoor farming of leafy greens and herbs grown by Spark-Y.
