June Construction of Via Sol

June was a busy month at Via Sol as Greiner is wrapping up appliances and finishings in apartments designed by MSR Design. Horwitz is setting up the chillers and energy recovery systems that will keep residents comfortable and utility costs low. US Internet is preparing to bring super fast, fiber internet to every home inside Via Sol.

We love seeing the code signage from Serigraphics going up in hallways, which includes apartment numbers, wayfinding signs, and signs with special icons giving you a glimpse into Via Sol’s sustainability aspects. What do you see for the electrical room?

Outside is buzzing along quickly as Rachel, Barr, and Windsor prepare the Urban Art Forest with nutrient-rich topsoil from The Mulch Store, which includes compost right from St. Louis Park residents and businesses! Thank you neighbors for helping nourish Via Sol’s baby trees. Once completed, the Urban Art Forest will be open to all.

Our artists for the public installations are all working hard to put the “art” into the Urban Art Forest. Kada Goalen finished her colorful mural of native birds facing the Cedar Lake Trail and future LRT Station, Randy Walker started the foundation for his tree-inpsired sculpture that will greet people as they approach Via Sol, and Jendayi Berry is making good progress on his lunar wave sculpture along an Urban Art Forest trail.

Stay tuned next month as the hard working Via Sol team continues preparing for residents to move in at the end of July!
